The location of Arundel Lido, within the South Downs National Park and in the heart of the historic town of Arundel, is arguably the best of any open-air facility in the country, offering magnificent views of Arundel Castle on the hill above.
The Lido is a very special place where, for more than 50 years, children have learnt to swim and families have enjoyed wonderful days out. It is a friendly place where children meet up after school on summer afternoons and adults make new friends and acquaintances.
We are now embarked on a project to extend the facilities at the Lido, by constructing a new building with:
- A 26-station Gym
- A Multi-Purpose Community Hall
- An Indoor Café/ Snack Bar
- Heated Changing Rooms
This will allow us to keep the site open all-year-round and to extend the swimming season.
Project LEAP has Planning Permission from the South Downs National Park Authority and its Patrons are the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk.
We now need to raise the money to construct and equip the new building.
