Love your Lido
Arundel Lido is a very special place where, for more than 50 years, children have learnt to swim and families have enjoyed a wonderful day out. It is a friendly place where children meet up after school on summer afternoons and adults make new friends and acquaintances at the Early Birds and Swallows Clubs.

The location of Arundel Lido, in the heart of the historic town of Arundel, is arguably the best of any open-air pool in the country, offering views of the magnificent Arundel Castle on the hill overlooking the pool.

In 1999, when the Arundel Lido was closed, the local community realised that an irreplaceable asset was in danger of being lost forever. Thankfully the Lido was saved through hard work, public support and fundraising. A community lido needs ongoing support to flourish. Do not wait for the Lido to be at risk again: you can be proactive and offer your support now. In short show that you Love your Lido.

PROJECT LEAP (Lido Extended Activities Plan)
All year round leisure facilities at the Lido.

Arundel Lido has operated successfully for many years as a seasonal facility open from May to September each year. We would like to develop the site so that it could offer leisure facilities to the public 12 months of the year.

The Lido Plan is to build a new multi-purpose building that can offer fitness activities for all, indoor changing rooms and a café area. Good design for the new building is paramount and the Trust is seeking the support of Arundel Town Council, Arun District Council, West Sussex County Council and the South Downs National Park Authority to take this project further.

If you have ideas for what you would like to see on site please e-mail those ideas to us.
